This policy covers thewellpicked.com and explains how we handle personal data. It is written to be read rather than to be impenetrable.
What we collect
- Newsletter subscribers. If you sign up, we store the email address you give us and the date you gave it. Nothing else.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply and, in the case of corrections, so we have a record of what was raised.
- Aggregate page views. We count how many times an article is read. The counter is not tied to you, your account or your device.
What we do not collect
- We do not sell personal data. There is no arrangement under which we would.
- We do not build advertising profiles or run behavioural ad targeting.
- We do not ask you to create an account, because there is nothing here to log in to.
Affiliate links
When you follow an affiliate link, the retailer may set its own cookies to attribute the visit. That processing is the retailer’s, governed by the retailer’s privacy policy, and we have no access to what they collect beyond aggregate reporting of whether a sale occurred. Our cookie policy covers this in more detail.
Where data is held
Site data is stored with our hosting and database providers, which may process it outside your country. We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe, and correspondence for as long as it is useful to the matter it concerns.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Unsubscribing from the newsletter removes your address. For anything else, write to privacy@thewellpicked.com and we will act within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above changes with it and the substance of the change is noted here.
